Environmental science is the science of the physical, chemical, andbiological conditions of the environment and the effect of this on organisms .

It is an interdisciplinary science that relies heavily onthe natural sciences. It uses physics to study energy transfers in order to reducepollution. It uses chemistry to deal with the chemical processes of substancesinvolved in all production lines. Environmental science also relies on biology , ecology in particular. The social sciences and economics are also major contributors to the field in that humans and their naturalenvironment are interconnected in multiple ways.
